How to use this site

Navigation

This site has been optimised for Internet Explorer 4.x and more, Netscape 6.x and more, and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x and more (the site cannot be viewed with previous versions of these browsers)

However known issues which may affect proper navigation within this present site may appear if you use Opera (all versions), Mozilla (all versions), Firefox (all versions) or Netscape 7.x. This happens when you see just a linked title inside a frame. If you click on the link then it opens a new window that contains the content that you should normally see in the frame.

All our documents are downloadable in PDF using Acrobat Reader software (preferably version 4.0.x or more).

To download and save documents locally you may right-click on the associated icon and select "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As" (Netscape). This is valid for documents that you may find in "Documentation".

For documents whose link ends up with "www.eurelectric.org/PublicDoc.asp?ID=" just do a normal (left) click, and you will have have the choice to either directly open the document or download it (save it to disk).

Windows XP Service Pack 2 brings along enhanced security features that affect Internet Explorer. This happens when you click on links such as "www.eurelectric.org/PublicDoc.asp?ID=": instead of having the choice to either open or save locally, you get a message in a yellow bar on top of the browser window that says "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options...".

As suggested, click on this yellow bar and select "Download file". You will then get the choice between "Open" and "Save". This is a safe operation!
